Hydro One crews are still dealing with power outages across the region Thursday morning after a storm swept through Midwestern Ontario Wednesday night.
High winds knocked down power lines and Hydro One's Storm Centre shows scattered outages still affecting thousands of customers throughout Huron, Perth, Bruce, Grey and Wellington.
One of the largest clusters is in the North Perth area where thousands are without power Thursday morning. And due to the power outage, the day shift at Spinrite's main plant in Listowel was first delayed and is now cancelled.
While some will see their lights go back on, Hydro One is estimating restoration times in some instances may not be until late Thursday afternoon.
Downed power lines were reported across parts of the region as well.
Severe weather warnings were posted Wednesday but as of Thursday morning there are no alerts.FDNH Blyth is responding to a downed utility line outside of Blyth. Motorists are reminded to yield for responding emergency vehicles.
