New portal open to supply local businesses and organizations with PPE

Municipalities, businesses, and community organizations can now access an online portal where they can order affordable personal protective equipment.

The portal is thanks to the Bruce Power's Retooling and Economic Recovery Council initiative.

Starting today, orders for PPE to stop the spread of COVID-19 can be placed at www.brucepower.com/strength-in-numbers.

If you've placed an order in advanced, you are asked to place your order through the portal.

Orders will be taken in two windows: July 27th to August 14th and September 21st to October 3rd.

“As we’ve entered Stage 3 of reopening across most of Ontario, a primary focus of the Retooling and Economic Recovery Council is making sure our businesses and non-profit organizations have the protective equipment they need to serve their customers and protect the health and safety of our communities,” said James Scongack, Executive Vice-President of Corporate Affairs and Operational Services at Bruce Power who co-chairs RERC with Richard Horrobin, Bruce Power’s Vice-President and Managing Director, Supply Chain.

The supplies include face masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfecting wipes.
