Arts and culture get a boost in Huron and Bruce

The province is putting thousands of dollars into arts and culture across the province.

Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson was joined by fellow cabinet Minister Lisa MacLeod in Goderich and Southampton Wednesday.

Thompson said $550,000 is being invested in Huron and Bruce.

“Across the riding, we collectively are receiving approximately $550,000 for culture and arts events and our historic features, if you will, like the Historic Gaol as well as our Huron County Museum,” said Thompson.  "Over and above the arts and the culture that we're supporting today, we also shared in the announcement that the Centre for Coastal Conservation is receiving $205,000. This is a very important initiative that spans the coastline of Lake Huron.”
