The Owen Sound Police Service has laid charges following a recent drug investigation.
On the evening of September 28, Owen Sound Police Service officers conducted a drug investigation in the city, which concluded with the arrest of a 40-year-old Owen Sound man on 8th Street East in the downtown core.
A suspect was allegedly in the possession of a powder, believed to be fentanyl, which police also allege was going to be used for the purpose of trafficking.
The street value of the seized fentanyl is $6,000.
The accused was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for assault and failure to comply with his probation order based on an unrelated investigation.
The charges have yet to be proven in court.
