COVID-19 cases drop in Midwestern Ontario

Despite a daily record number of new cases of COVID-19 for Ontario Thursday, Huron Perth Public Health reported fewer active cases of COVID-19.

There are now five active cases, down from six Wednesday. However, despite newly resolved cases, one new case was reported Thursday in Stratford.

There are no long term care or school outbreaks involving the novel coronavirus in Huron Perth.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reported five new COVID-19 cases for a total of 40 active cases. However, none of the new cases are in Wellington County, where the number of active cases has been reduced to six.

The Grey Bruce health Unit reported no new cases Thursday.  There are five active cases, with one person in hospital.  An outbreak continues at Errinrung Long Term Care home in Thornbury. There are no outbreaks in schools or day cares.
