$100,700 in drugs seized in Hanover

Two people face charges after $100,700 worth of methamphetamine was seized in Hanover.

The investigation on Sunday was conducted on 7th Street and involved members of the Ontario Provincial Police Community Street Crimes Unit, West Region OPP Emergency Response Team and Hanover Police Service.

Police also seized offence-related property including two cell phones and a quantity of money.

Jeremy Halk, 34, of Hanover was charged with: Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking Flight from police Operation while prohibited Two counts of failing to comply with a release order Two counts of failing to comply with a probation order

The accused was held in custody pending the result of a bail hearing.

And Nicole Valad, 30, of Brockton was charged with: Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking Possession of methamphetamine Flight from police

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on December 16, 2020 to answer the charges.
