Local municipalities in Perth and Wellington will get supporting funds

Eligible municipalities in Perth-Wellington will share over $10 million in provincial funding for 2021.

The announcement comes from MPP Randy Pettapiece, who says the funds will be delivered through the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund (OMPF).

“Small and rural municipalities face unique financial challenges,” Pettapiece said. “They need and deserve the province’s support. I’ve made that case many, many times over the years, and I’m very pleased that our government has heard us.”

Of Ontario’s 444 municipalities, 389 currently receive unconditional funding through the program.
