Colder temperatures, snow squall watch

Environment Canada has a snow squall watch in place for southern areas of Bruce and Grey and an advisory for northern areas of the two counties.

Forecasters are expecting cold northwesterly winds to produce some lake effect snow squalls beginning this afternoon that could continue into Wednesday morning.

Snowfall amounts could range from 10 to 15 cm by tomorrow afternoon.

West winds out gust up to 50 km/h at times.

For Huron, Perth and northern areas of Wellington, snowfall amounts are expected to be less, 5 to 10 cm by tomorrow afternoon. The wind chill will be a factor. While Tuesday's low is expected to be minus-9, the wind chill is predicted to be minus-18.

And while there are no watches in place at this time, some pop up squalls are a possibility late Tuesday.
