Updated as of 2:45 p.m.
Blowing snow advisories continue to be in place for Huron, Perth, Wellington, Grey and southern areas of Bruce along with a snow squall warning for the Bruce Peninsula.
That, combined with ice and drifting, is making travel difficult.
As of 7:35 a.m., Huron County declared a significant weather event. Under the county policy, users of county roads are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and to use caution.
At noon, Grey County also declared a significant weather event. And at 2:45 p.m. Bruce County and The Township of Huron Kinloss also declared a significant weather event.
That's because the snowfall, wind and drifting are making it difficult for road crews to maintain standards.
The Bruce County Roads Department has been reporting fair to poor visibility throughout its patrol areas through the early part of the day.
And visibility in Perth County continues to be poor through blowing snow and drifting.
Perth County Roads are mostly snow covered with some track bare and heavy drifted areas, visibility is poor to very poor at times, if travel is necessary give yourself extra time. Crews are out. #PerthCounty #Drivesafe

Snow is expected to fall through Friday with gusty winds at times. And that could cause blowing snow and drifting.
