Canadian Blood Services will be hosting a blood drive event next month.
With spring not too far away, Canadian Blood Services is again stressing the need for blood donations no matter the time of year. With blood needed for critical donations every day, donors are being encouraged to book and honour their appointments to ensure an ongoing supply of blood and blood products for patients in need. The COVID-19 pandemic has even further increased the strain on blood donation supply, but Canadian Blood Services says they have implemented various measures in response to COVID-19 to ensure the wellbeing of all donors is safeguarded at all times.
The next blood drive will take place Saturday, March 20th at the Highpoint Community School at 351 Main Street West in Dundalk. The drive will run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., and you can book a donation appointment online at blood.ca or call 1-888-2DONATE. No walk-ins are being accepted due to ongoing safety regulations for COVID-19.
