No new COVID-19 cases Wednesday in Midwestern Ontario

There were no new cases of COVID-19 confirmed by public health officials in Midwestern Ontario Wednesday.

Huron Perth Public Health reported 16 active cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, as two positive cases where shifted to other health units. There are no hospitalizations and no new cases. Outbreaks continue at Seaforth Manor Retirement Home, Stratford Jail, and one workplace

The Grey Bruce health Unit also reported no new cases Wednesday, for the second day in a row. There are eleven active cases. One person is in hospital. An outbreak continues at Bruce Lea Have Long Term Care in Walkerton.

Wellington County public health officials added no new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday and reported 18 active cases. The outbreak at Caressant Care Nursing home in Arthur is no longer listed as active.  There are still outbreaks at Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Mapleridge Unit in Fergus, which involves two staff members, and at Royal Terrace in Palmerston, where one staff member tested positive.   Across the Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public health region, there were twelve new cases.  There are 148 active cases, and five workplace outbreaks.

There were no new fatalities in Midwestern Ontario.
