Bayfield Centre for the Arts launches after COVID-19 delay

The President of the Bayfield Centre for the Arts outlined some of her plans for this year at a recent county council meeting.

The Centre was formed last year but was unable to do much after COVID-19 arrived, but Leslee Squirrell says they have several things planned for this year that she says will impact the entire Huron County community.

One of them is what she describes as a mobile art program.

"So it is an art truck that has been donated to us, very kindly, by Lake Huron Chrysler, to be outfitted with tables and chairs, easels and art supplies and it will be taking art on the road to mental health facilities in Huron County."

Squirrell adds the art truck will also be available for private families or groups or organizations to rent.

"It will also be available for private families or groups or organizations to rent the truck and the art instructors in the truck come and give an art class, whether it be painting or water colour or photography, whatever it is."
