Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reported a new fatality in wellington county Friday due to COVID-19. 35 wellington county residents have now succumbed to the virus. Wellington County public Health officials added seven new cases of today for a total of 21 active cases. An outbreak continues at Royal Terrace Long Term Care in Palmerston, but it has been limited to a couple of staff members.
The Grey Bruce health Unit reported Friday that no new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the past 24 hours. There are 16 active cases, and eight of them are Variants of Concern. In all 14 cases of Variants of concern have been identified. One person is in hospital.
Huron Perth Public Health added three new cases of COVID-19 Friday, but the number of active cases is down to 17, and there are no hospitalizations. There are four variants of concern in Huron Perth.
