More questions about intersections in Huron County

Huron County council isn't quite ready to spend money at a couple of intersections that have been a concern in their communities.

The two intersections in question are at County Road 83 and Airport Line in South Huron and County Road 25 and Highway 4 in Blyth.

Warden Glen McNeil says while some councillors feel they have enough information others wanted more before spending money on options.

"Huron County council is asking our staff to report back to us on why are these accidents happening, what has to be addressed to lower that incidents and then we will move forward with the appropriate decisions," said McNeil.

While there hasn't been any official suggestions on how to improve the two intersections, there has been some talk.

"Is it stop lights, is it a round-about, is there another way and council was requesting that information, staff will bring it back to us and I am very confident at that time we will move forward to address the situations in both of those intersections," added McNeil.

Both North Huron Reeve Bernie Bailey and South Huron Mayor George Finch maintained traffic is only going to increase at those intersections and they felt it was time to act.
