Huron County's Warden is wishing everyone a Happy Easter for the coming weekend.
But along with good wishes Glenn McNeil is also sharing words of caution regarding public health protocols and dealing with the pandemic.
“It is important to stay within our bubble, to physical distance and to constantly sanitize our hands and wear a mask and respect the public health protocol measures,” said McNeil.
And he understands most people have struggled at one time or another through the past year and it's tempting to feel that we've earned a bit of a break.
“However, to let down our guard now is not appropriate. We will get there. The more we get vaccinated and attain herd immunity, we will be able to enjoy each other's company again and we all look forward to that happening,” added McNeil.
McNeil says he was lucky enough last week to get his first shot of the vaccine, as a volunteer member of the board of directors with the hospital and he suggests that everyone who can get vaccinated take advantage of that because the best chance of getting through this pandemic is to attain herd immunity.
