Perth County OPP have arrested and charged a suspect following a reported sexual assault.
Just after 11:00pm on April 16th, Perth County OPP say they received a report of a sexual assault that had just occurred on Road 125, south of Line 36.
They said the victim and accused had met on an online dating application, and were in a vehicle at the time the assault occurred.
The 17-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
As a result, 20 year old James Kirkpatirck of Tillsonburg has been charged with; Assualt, Sexual Assault, and Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm. These charges have not yet been proven in court.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
