Wellington North Mayor Andy Lennox says more Covid vaccine is scheduled to arrive in Wellington in May.
At council Monday night he urged all residents to get the shot which is available through Wellington Public Health as well as Walsh's pharmacy in Mount Forest and Arthur and through family doctors.
Vaccine shortages are the bottleneck in the vaccination program.
Lennox expressed optimism that Wellington will hit 60 percent coverage by the end of May and residents may then be able to head back towards a more normal lifestyle.
