Police seize drugs following traffic stop

The Perth County OPP have charged a 30-year-old Seaforth native with possession of drugs following a traffic stop in West Perth.

On April 23rd just after midnight, officers pulled over a vehicle that was violating the Highway Traffic Act on Perth Line 34. Officers observed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle during the stop, and a search unveiled a quantity of alleged purple fentanyl. The accused was arrested, and later released from custody.

The 30-year-old Seaforth native has a court date scheduled for a later date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford to answer to charges of Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Opioid and Operate Unsafe Vehicle.
