Wellington OPP lay charges related to Historical sexual assaults

Wellington County OPP have laid charges in connection to an investigation into a report of a series of historical sexual assaults and other sex-related offences.

The investigation was launched in November of 2020, into a series of assaults that took place between 2003 and 2020 and involved multiple jurisdictions.

The Wellington County OPP has further charged Michael Bradley Hurst, 43, of Palmerston with 10 counts of Sexual Assault contrary to the Criminal Code.

In January, police charged the man with six counts of sexual assault and four counts of committing an indecent act.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Guelph at a later date.

Investigators believe that there may be additional victims and any person with information regarding this ongoing investigation is asked to contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
