Police investigating mischief at local business causing over $20,000 in damages

The Wellington County OPP are investigating a serious mischief case after a local business suffered significant damages.

On June 4 at 8:10 a.m. police received a report of mischief that occurred at a business on King Street in Palmerston. The investigation revealed that sometime between May 28th and June 3rd, some unknown suspects entered the property and smashed the windows and windshields out of 20 vehicles. It was determined that fire extinguishers were used to cause the damage to the vehicles, which were all un-plated and to be used either for scrap, antique or for sale. Fireworks were also set off in the area. The damage are in excess of $20,000.
