Charges laid for failing to isolate

Saugeen Shores Police laid charges for failing to isolate against a Southampton resident who was also wanted for several other offences.
On June 30th, officers spotted a woman walking in Southampton who was wanted for several arrest warrants, and the officers also were aware the woman had recently tested positive for COVID-19 and was under an isolation order. The woman was arrested for the outstanding warrants, and was processed on-site. She was also charged under the Health Protection and Promotion Act for failing to comply with an order. This charge carries a fine of $880.
The accused was released with a court date scheduled at a future date.
