A structure fire that caused the closure of a roadway in North Perth this morning is under investigation by police.
Police and local firefighters from North Perth Fire Department responded to a call for a structure fire on Perth Line 88 between Road 171 and Road 167 west of Palmerston. The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened. The fire was at a residence and barn on a vacant property. Police have deemed the fire suspicious and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall has been called in to help investigate.
No one was injured as a result of the fire. If anyone has any information regarding this suspicious fire, contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
