COVID vaccine two dose rate climbing in the community

COVID-19 cases in the region continue to hold steady.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is reporting 32 active cases with the most recent confirmed in Saugeen Shores, Arran-Elderslie, Grey Highlands, and Owen Sound.

The one dose vaccination rate for the 12-plus population in Grey and Bruce has climbed over 81 percent with the two dose rate at 74.9 percent.

A number of pop-up vaccine clinics have been scheduled through this week and next.

Huron Perth Public Health was monitoring 16 active COVID cases headed into the weekend.

In the 12-plus population, the one dose rate is 79 percent while the two dose rate is 71.3 percent.

Walk-in vaccine clinics in Huron and Perth resume Wednesday. There are also some appointment times available at clinics in Stratford an Goderich.
