UPDATE: Road reopens following OPP investigation into serious crash

**Updated as of 3:21 p.m., September 3rd, 2021**

Huron County OPP have reopened a road after investigating a serious crash.

On September 3rd at 6:56 a.m., officers responded to a single vehicle collision along Nile Road in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawnosh. Officers arrived to find that a passenger vehicle had collided with a tree. The driver of the vehicle has been air-lifted to a London hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. No one else was injured as a result of the crash. Nile Road was closed between Blyth Road and Lucknow Line but has since reopened. The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement unit are assisting with the investigation.
