The Municipality of Huron-Kinloss continues to clean up following the powerful storm system that raged through Midwestern Ontario on Tuesday.
In a release, the municipality says the storm produced heavy rainfall, high winds and hail resulting in downed trees, power outages and minor property damage.
No injuries were reported.
Local public works crews continue the cleanup efforts throughout the area, and they expect to have the cleanup completed by the end of the week. Residents can report damage to the municipal office by visiting the Report a Problem web portal on the Huron-Kinloss website.
The municipality is also reminding Huron-Kinloss residents that the Huron Landfill operating hours are Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., while Yard Waste Depots are open 24-hours a day.
"A huge shout out to our First Responders, Hydro Crews and Public Works Staff, for continuing to serve our residents through these challenging times,” said Mayor Mitch Twolan, “as we work to clean up from this event, we ask for your patience."
