Mino Fire Captain Peter Henderson's name was added to the Ontario Firefighter Memorial Sunday.
Henderson passed on March 17th, 2020 and was a member of the fire service since 1984.
In a Facebook post following his passing, he was remembered as "a strong but gentle leader with a kind heart" and a "tremendous presence" around the department. The public ceremony to add the names to the monument was cancelled due to the pandemic however there was a small gathering to honour the fallen Sunday afternoon.
The service honoured fire fighters lost in 2020 and 2021.
