Local COVID updates expected after holiday weekend

Public health is tracking new cases of COVID-19 associated with local schools.

The latest was confirmed by Grey Bruce Public Health on Sunday, October 10 involving Kincardine District Senior School. The health unit reports one case and it affects four classes.

There is also currently one case associated with Port Elgin-Saugeen Central School and two cases associated with Saugeen District Senior School.

The health unit has not declared any outbreaks.

Updated COVD numbers from local health units are expected today after Monday's holiday.

As for vaccine clinics, there is one Monday at the Wiarton arena between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

In Huron and Perth, there are walk-in clinics in Clinton at the community centre between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and the Hesson Christian Fellowship Church in Perth East between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

In Mount Forest, there is a clinic at the sports complex between noon and 4 p.m.
