New COVID-19 cases reported in Midwestern Ontario

The Grey Bruce Health unit added no new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday. There are 35 active cases. Three residents are currently hospitalized with the virus. 

Huron Perth Public Health added three new cases. Two are located in Perth East, and one in North Perth. There are 43 active cases. Four people are hospitalized with the virus. 

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added 13 new cases Tuesday, including two in Wellington County. There are 25 active cases in Wellington. Two residents are currently hospitalized with the virus.

Ontario is reporting 441 new COVID-19 cases today, 268 of them in people who are not fully vaccinated or whose immunization status isn't known. The province is also logging three more deaths due to the virus.

The province says 134 people are in intensive care with COVID-19 related critical illness, including 78 people on ventilators. It says 85 per cent of Ontario residents aged 12 and older have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and 88 per cent have had at least one shot.
