North Huron releases draft Parks, Recreation & Culture Master Plan

The Township of North Huron has created a draft Parks, Recreation & Culture Master Plan to guide Council and staff in future decision-making. Residents are invited to review a summary of the Draft Parks, Recreation & Culture Master Plan and are encouraged to provide their feedback before it is finalized.

A media release says Township of North Huron conducted extensive community consultation because Parks, recreation and culture facilities, programs, and services are vital to a high quality of life.

The plan will guide decisions for the next decade for Recreation and cultural facilities; Programs, activities, and events; Parks, open spaces and trails; and Service delivery policies and practices.

“Our parks, recreation facilities, outdoor spaces and cultural events and spaces are an important part of this community. They shape the lifestyle that we pride ourselves on in North Huron. This plan is being developed to guide Council and staff in future decision-making. I encourage residents to participate in the process to help us meet goals and enable all of us to work together as a “Community of Communities”, said Reeve Bailey.

Visit the Township’s website at www.northhuron.ca to review the summary and provide feedback.
