One person is dead after a pedestrian was hit by a pickup truck on Perth Road 121, east of Milverton.
Perth County OPP, Perth County Paramedic services and Perth East Fire Department responded to a call just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the hamlet of Poole.
The pedestrian that was hit was transported from the scene by ambulance to a local hospital where they were later pronounced deceased.
The deceased has since been identified as Mary Jantzi, 67, from Perth East.
The road was closed through part of the night for the investigation and was reopened just after 1 a.m. Wednesday.
