North Huron ready to select members of the Fundraising Committee for the North Huron Museum Relocation

North Huron Council will review applications for the Fundraising Committee for the North Huron Museum Relocation Capital Project.

CAO Carson Lamb said the next step in the process will be for the applications to be presented to Council in closed session at the February 7, 2022 Council meeting. Council will then return to open session to make their appointments.

The committee will need to raise $420,000. to relocate the museum to the former train station in Wingham.

The North Huron Museum was located at 273 Josephine Street, which was the old post office the Old Post Office. It was closed in 2018.

That's after Council received a Facility Condition Assessment Report in 2017 indicating that the museum building requires $3.8 million in repairs.
