Huron Perth Public Health adds a new COVID-19 fatality

Huron Perth Public Health reported a new fatality due to COVID-19 Thursday. There have now been 94 fatalities attributed to the virus.

Public health officials report that the highest number of deaths have occurred in the over 80 age group, at 49. There have been 36 fatalities amongst people aged 60 to 79

Seven people aged 40 to 59 have died from the novel coronavirus, and 2 under 39.

36 of the fatalities were in the community, three were hospital patients, 34 lived in long term care, and 21 retirement home residents passed away due to COVID-19.

Currently three people are in hospital with the virus.
