The Ontario Fire Marshal and the OPP are investigating a fatal fire near Fordwich.
The fire was reported at 7:19 p.m. Monday on Fordwich Line near Fordwich.
Firefighters from Howick and Minto responded along with Huron County OPP and Huron County Paramedic Services.
One adult occupant was unable to escape the fire and was trapped inside a portion of the home that was heavily damaged.
Police along with the OFM will be on scene today continuing with the investigation.
