Ontario Liberal leader talks about economic dignity

Ontario Liberal Leader Steven Del Duca laid out the party's plans for what it calls Economic Dignity.

Del Duca explained part of the plan Sunday during a campaign speech to party members.

"It is simply unacceptable that people who work full time hours, the people who show up, they show up every single day, they work hard. Those people are struggling to make ends meet," said Del Duca.

He says they would immediately raise the minimum wage to $16 per hour then follow that up with another increase.

"And then urgently, we're going to work with all of our partners to build a dynamic, regionally adjusted living wage," said Del Duca.

Del Duca also said the Liberals would bring back equal-pay-for-equal-work.

The election is June 2nd.
