A tornado watch was in effect for the entire area during the day, while severe thunderstorm watches and warnings were also in place for certain areas in Grey-Bruce and Huron-Perth.
As of 9:45 p.m. only a heat warning remain in place for the areas.
The heat warning will remain also in place possibly through Saturday.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
