Lonely No More partners with municipality to offer seniors virtual workshop

Lonely No More Service Providers and North Perth have partnered to offer a virtual workshop for seniors.

A release states that the partnership will offer "a skill-enhancing virtual workshop series for rural, older adults this September." The workshops will focus on teaching skills such as "how to have a coaching conversation using appreciative inquiry, how to provide peer support and how to help others navigate to find the resources they need, as part of asset-based community development." Lonely No More launched in 2018 to offer a weekly phone service for isolated rural seniors.

Registration for the workshops, which will be offered in a 4-part virtual series entitled “Connectedness Coaching," are now open. Anyone interested can contact the Lonely No More Program Coordinator, Sarah, by calling 519-292-6862 or visit the online registration link: www.createconnectioninNorthPerth.eventbrite.ca. The program will run for four weeks beginning Thursday, September 8th, from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. every Thursday.
