Wellington County OPP are investigating a report of an assault.
Police say at about 10:00pm Saturday, an assault had taken place at an address on Belsyde Avenue East. The victim had allegedly been assaulted by two people known to the victim, and they were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old resident of Fergus has been charged with Assault contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
The investigation is continuing as there is another person of interest involved.
