Wellington County OPP say they were called to Highway 6 and Wellington Road 38 around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.
A motorcycle had reported collided with a sedan. The motorcycle operator, a 47-year-old from Fergus, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the sedan was taken to local hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation and police are asking any witnesses to come forward.
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
Fortunately, no children were on board the bus, but the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
