Driver facing charges after crash

A 56-year-old man from Owen Sound is facing charges after a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning.

The Owen Sound Police were called to 3rd Avenue West around 8:10 a.m. after a Ford F-150 crashed into a house.

Officers determined the driver crossed the centre line, clipping a hydro pole that ripped off the front left wheel of the truck. The vehicle then continued across two properties before striking a house.

The driver was not injured.

The house sustained minor damage while the truck was destroyed.

The driver was charged with careless driving and having open liquor in a vehicle.
