Residents within the former Town of Kincardine, Huronville subdivision, and along the pipeline to Inverhuron no longer need to conserve water.
Work at the Kincardine Reservoir has been completed, ahead of schedule.
The second phase of construction started October 17, and had an expected completion date of November 25.
“I want to thank everyone for their cooperation and water conservation while this work was completed,” said Mark O’Leary, manager of environmental services for the Municipality of Kincardine. “Thanks also to our municipal neighbours to the south, Huron-Kinloss, who shared their Drinking Water System during this time.”
The Kincardine Drinking Water System’s reservoir is now back online, and users who may have experienced lower pressures over the past weeks should see them return to normal over the coming days.
O’Leary reminds residents as the systems come back online, users may see water discolouration during flushing.
“You might need to run your cold water taps as well as rinse screens or filters prior to using your water,” added O’Leary. “This is quite common following distribution flushing.”
