Teen driver facing charges after crash in Bruce County

Charges have been laid following a two-vehicle crash in Bruce County.

South Bruce OPP officers responded to the incident at about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of the Greenock-Brant Line and Chepstow Road in the Municipality of Brockton.

Police say one vehicle was on its side and the driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters. Also, a hydro pole had been broken due to the collision.

A 17-year-old Brockton resident was charged with Careless Driving, Driving while under Suspension, Driving a Motor Vehicle with No Insurance, and Use of Unauthorized License Plates.

Both drivers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
