ABCA bringing back Partner Appreciation Evening

The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority is bringing back its Partner Appreciation Evening this year after the pandemic shut it down for the past two years.

Communications Specialist Tim Cumming says the annual event will recognize conservation partners and present the Conservationist of the Year Award . This year the event takes place at Ironwood Golf Club on Morrison Line on March 16.

Cumming says the event will also include a presentation by Annabelle Rayson, who is a grade twelve student in Sarnia, and the 2022 Winner of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize. She'll be speaking on harmful algae blooms and her research to treat them and prevent them in Lake Huron and the other Great Lakes. Cumming says she received the Stockholm Junior Water Prize, in person, from the Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.

More information about the Conservationist of the Year Award, and the Partner Appreciation Evening, can be found on the Conservation Award web page https://www.abca.ca/community/conservationistoftheyear/.
