One person charged following residential break-and-enter

A South Bruce Peninsula man is facing charges after a break-in to a local home.

On April 1 just after 6:30 p.m., Grey Bruce OPP officers responded to a reported break-and-enter on Elm Street in Wiarton. During the investigation, police were able to locate and identify an suspect, and that person was arrested at the scene. A 38-year-old man from South Bruce Peninsula is now facing numerous charges, including break-and-enter to a dwelling or house, mischief and theft under $5,000.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound at a later date to answer to the charges.
