Saugeen Shores Police make arrest after serious incident

Saugeen Shores Police ran a vehicle off the road Thursday night in response to what they called a serious incident.

Police responded to a call around 9 p.m. on Thursday, with assistance from OPP.

They say one of their cruisers was damaged pushing a vehicle off of Goderich Street before it entered the downtown core of Port Elgin. Reportedly, no one was injured.

The adult driver of the vehicle was arrested for several offences and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

However, police say due to the nature of the investigation no further information will be shared.
