Stratford police are investigating two violent incidents involving bikes that took place on Tuesday morning.
The first was reported around 3:30 a.m. along West Gore Street between Dufferin Street and Railway Avenue.
The victim said they were confronted by two males carrying knives. The victim ran and hid in a nearby yard before calling 911.
Police couldn't locate the suspects after a search of the area.
One man is described as older with grey hair and riding a mountain bike with a mud flap. The other was younger and also on a bike. Both were reportedly wearing grey T-shirts.
The second incident was an assault that reportedly took place near the Cooper Terminal on Downie Street around 4:15 a.m.
The victim said he was attempting to move a bike found abandoned in the middle of the road, when he was attacked by five teenagers.
The man received minor injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.
Police say the victim reported being confronted by four males and one female, all of which were Caucasian. The female was wearing a red t-shirt and the males were in dark hoodies.
Police say it's unclear if the two incidents are related.
