County adopts new strategic action plan

Wellington County recently adopted a new strategic action plan.

The plan outlines four areas with strategic actions in each of them. The four areas are to continue working to ensure all County residents have a safe place they can call home, in communities poised to grow, help manage community expectations, ensure long-term financial sustainability to allow for the continued delivery of the highest quality service, and focus on people as the main driving force behind Wellington County.

The plan is titled “Proudly Moving Forward Together", and includes strategies to combat the housing crisis, cultural and educational programs for new residents and recruitment and retention strategies for employers.

“I would like to thank members of County Council and the senior management team for their contribution to the development of this updated Strategic Action Plan,” said Warden Andy Lennox. “The County will use this plan to set corporate priorities and to build a strong foundation for the County to move forward on.”
