Community Futures Huron and the Rural Ontario Institute are looking for potential community leaders for the ROI's Rural Change Makers program.
Community Futures Economic Development Officer Heather Boa says the deadline for applications is July 15th.
“We're looking for young people across Southwestern Ontario between the ages of 18 and 35 who have the potential to be great rural leaders and want to make positive change in their community," Boa explained. “And most of them will already be showing their potential as a leader. Maybe they're in Junior Farmers, municipal politics, or they're in organizations that are doing really great things in the area.”
Boa says the goal is to further develop that potential so they can continue to make their community a better place to live. Interested young leaders can get more information as well as register by going to the ruralontarioinstitute.ca/changemakers web site.
