County says bridge replacement is on schedule

The replacement of a local bridge is moving along on schedule.

That's according to Bruce County, who shared in a release that the Teeswater River Bridge replacement project is on time. The bridge, located on Bruce Road 3 in Paisley, Ontario, began in May 2022.

"Motorists can continue to drive to and through Paisley while bridge construction is underway. Paisley businesses are open. The new Teeswater River Bridge being constructed will allow for more river flow clearance and will have a service life of 75 years," the release shared.

This summer, construction will include culvert abutments and deck, retaining walls, parapet walls, approach slabs, backfill, waterproofing, and paving.

It is anticipated that the bridge and road work will be completed in late September of 2023, with top lift paving being completed in the summer of 2024. Once the new bridge and road are open to traffic, the temporary bridge removal will begin.
