The Harrison Park Heritage Cabin in Owen Sound will this week host its very first visitors.
For the summer of 2023, the cabin at Harrison Park Family Campground offers a completely new camping experience.
After undergoing internal improvements, the historic structure formerly known as "The Kitchen" now provides what the city calls a first-rate camping experience.
In addition to generating income for building maintenance, this new rental possibility also acts as a test run for Harrison Park's cabin rental business model. There are also 97 existing campsites in Harrison Park.
"The renovation of the former ‘Kitchen’ at Harrison Park Campground has turned an underutilized heritage building into a beautiful, family-friendly, premium camping experience," said Mayor Ian Boddy. "We hope that visitors will enjoy all the fantastic amenities and the natural beauty that Harrison Park has to offer.”
Reservations are available for Sunday-Sunday, seven-day rentals until October 8, 2023 by calling 519-371-9734.
A one-week rental costs $1,435.00 + HST. The cabin is also available in 3-night blocks at a nightly cost of $210 + HST. The maximum number of guests is 6 people.
