A fire that broke out at a residence on the Main Street of Listowel kept crews busy for several hours.
On the evening of July 23, the North Perth Fire Department was called at 9:47 p.m. to a residence on Main Street West in Listowel for a fire that broke out in the attic of the home.
North Perth Fire Chief Janny Pape confirms that all three North Perth stations, Perth County Paramedics, and Perth County OPP responded to the incident.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and damages are unknown, as well. When crews arrived on scene, flames were visible through the roof of the home. One child was originally unaccounted for but was located a short time after the call to 911.
Main Street in Listowel was closed for several hours but re-opened in the early morning hours of July 24.
